PS4 display problem

Since I bought my PS4, I have been playing on my computer monitor using an HDMI to DVI converter and a splitter box so I could swap between computer and PS4 and a PS4 headset for audio. This system worked well until a few months ago when I started getting red snow on the PS4 display. This persisted for a while until the picture disappeared altogether and interference patterns would flash up intermittently. I thought it must be an issue with the display wiring so I purchased an HDMI to DVI lead so I could plug the PS4 direct into the monitor.

This seemed to solve the issue although the red snow still remained. A couple of weeks later, the display went again (blank screen with intermittent interference pattern flashing up) and after a bit of fiddling with cables, everything went red! The display is good, but just very very red!

So I bought a new TV the other day (Samsung UE40KU6400)) which I hoped may give me a better display; however, I get no display or sound at all on this TV. It just does not detect a source even though the PS4 boots up fine and I can hear audio on the headset. It occurred to me then that when I first got my PS4 and took it into the living room to hook up to the old TV, I did not get a display either. I put this down to it being an old TV and went back to the monitor.

I have tried safe mode, setting to factory default (both PS4 and TV), updating firmware, different HDMI leads and ports but nothing seems to work. The HDMI port in the PS4 seems intact and no pins appear to be bent out of place. I really am struggling to come up with a solution so would be grateful if anyone could advise on how I can get this problem sorted. It would be great to stop seeing red every time I try to play!

Many thanks
