No matter what i do my PS4 just wont download most things, no matter what i choose almost everything fails with the above error, all except the demo of Styx and a system update which came down the line perfectly.
i have tried every fix i can think of or read about, modifying the MTU settings, forwarding ports and even making the PS4 full DMZ, wired and wifi, no matter what i do the story is the same every time, what i dont understand is why, i can delete and redownload Styx as many times as i want and it comes down the pipe as fast as my connection can handle, i can watch trailers, browse the net and just about anything else you can think of, so why is it that no actual content will download? can someone please explain whats going on here so that i can get some sleep and so i dont chuck it out the window in rage (id say i wish id bought a disc copy of the game but no doubt there would be an update to download)
The sad truth is ive been battling this issue for nearly a month now and i have made zero progress, i cant buy games in the hope that they will download their required files, it just seems like asking for stress so it looks like ill be going back to PC.
just a final note im not actually expecting a fix here, we are way beyond that at this point, the only option would be to change out the router but the connection is included with my rent and as such i cant change the router out (i shouldnt have even had access to the config technically) all id like to know is why that one thing consistently works when nothing else does, what is it about Styx??? (i havent actually even played it despite having downloaded it dozens of times)
