Ps4 suddenly unable to read games.

Hello. Maybe someone here can help me.

Since yesterday my Ps4 has been unable to read games but it will read Blu-Ray DVDs.

When I put the disc in, the game will start up but after a few seconds I'll be returned to the Ps4 home screen with a message saying something like 'unable to read disc please check the game isn't dirty',which it isn't all my games are spotless then the game will eject.

Somehow last night after a few attempts I did get GtaV working and was able to play for at least a couple of hours and then the problems started ! I was unable to use the weapon wheel, the quick action menu wouldn't open and the world would just load very slowly with servere pop in, like the disc wasn't being read properly.

Now GtaV works every time but the problems mentioned above start popping up in game. it sounds like the disc isn't spinning when I'm playing which is weird. Maybe I just can't hear it.

Fallout 4 I still need to re install due to new hardrive. Sometimes it boots up to install sometimes it don't when it does its stuck on 4%.

I have just recently installed a new 1tb harddrive which I'm suspecting might be part of the problem. It is a compatible hardrive because my brother has the same one and has had no problems.  im going to try my old HD and see if my Ps4 is still having trouble reading my games.

I have tried everything I can think of. Rebuild database, reinstall software update, restore default settings, hard reset the console and factory reset it. Unfortunately my warranty expired ages ago so can't send it into Sony for repairs. I'm thinking the only thing left for me to try is to open her up and inspect the disk drive myself, but I'm afraid I might damage it further.

Has anyone had this problem before and managed to fix it? What else could I try? Thanks :)
