Unlink PS4 from deleted Spotify account?

Hi y'all,

I have browsed the web extensively but have not yet found a solution for the following problem:

1. I have a PS4 account that a few months ago I linked to my Spotify account. The Spotify was a premium account set up via spotify.co.uk.
2. I deleted my Spotify account.
3. I opened a new Spotify account (but with the same email address as the old one)

I now want to link my new Spotify account to my PS4 account. When I try to open the Spotify app on my PS4 I simply get a "connection error" message. I have also read through all help topics (https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/get-help/help-library/services/playstation-music/information-about-spotify-on-playstation-music/) and tried to unlink the account via https://link.playstationmusic.com/spotify/details. The latter just displays a "please wait" message without any changes.

So all in all, no success so far.

Any suggestions what else I could try?
